From palkulangara to vallavagen

"Välkommen till Stockholm" this was the first sign board i have seen when i reached the airport. It was a different experience of travel due to many reasons.
1. Moving out India for the first time
2. Leaving my family and friends for a long time even though Its not a kind of missing as now a days we have a better ways to chat and call.
3. The lifestyle is going to change, I cannot enjoy my old lifestyle even though its bad hehe…
Flight was smooth I was able to carry some extra baggage hehe,no delay we reached on time on Stockholm. One of my room mates aunty was there to receive us in the airport and we were directed to the destination were we stay via taxi even though it cost around 600 SEK(around 4000 INR) we reached there safely. We met the houseowner a 78 year old aunty Mrs mattinson with whom we are supposed to stay for two years. She got her daughter with her as she is not good with English. Her daughter explained us everything what are the do’s and what are the dont’s.dont’s were more than do’s
Rules
1. Keep the toilet clean and dry (no water only tissue)
2. No disturbing sound from the room
3. No spicy smell from the kitchen that disturb the neighbors
4. No smell of sweat
5. Wear socks inside the house(it’s a bad thing that ladies see the guys feet over here I don’t know why)
There are many things that I noticed it differs from India
Security
Swedes are more concern on the security .In the house I stay I have a lock for the main door of the flat and a punch card for entering into the apartment. And for going to the basement were they have common washroom, lockers, recycling area and car parking.and going to this basement they have a separate key and punch…(I don’t know how they are managing this much keys and punch)
People
Swedes want more privacy. They don’t want to get disturbed when they are engaged with some of their personal activity and they don’t expect any help from the others in short they want to be self sufficient.
They will help us if they understand us properly otherwise they may direct us to some better person who can understand us. We are not suppose to stare on anyone and they also don’t do. Some guys talk to us even without looking up to the eyes, but they are not shy guys.
Living cost
Cost of living is too high over here as we experienced some
One way train ticket – 45 SEK(300 INR) we were shocked and we got a monthly pass for 490 SEK which we can travel unlimited through any mode of public transportation in Stockholm
1 kg rice-12SEK(80INR)
One ear drop – 63 SEK(400 inr)
Like that the list goes. Nothing is cheap except beer and beef
Both are having no relation with me
So need to find a better diet
This is like it goes may be am bit over amused but I am expecting to get used to it
But the place is simply awesome in all respect.
